まあ、当の本人は読んでいるんでしょうけど、読んでいない当ML参加者の
ために comp.os.linux.development.apps で見掛けた反応を転送します。
ライセンスの微妙な問題は置いといて、価値に付いてはほぼ同意見です。
部品点数や設置スペースや予算の限られるロボット制御では違った意見が
あるのかもしれませんが。

Sorry, but do you really believe anyone is going to try this when
you don't show the sources (at least for the libraries) and it has
to be run as root? And isn't $100 (or $200, you better make up your
mind) a bit expensive when you can buy from e.g. National Instruments
a PCI card with four independent pulse/counter channels with a time
resolution of 50 ns (and lower jitter) for about $400 AFAIR?
