apache は同様にソースから入れてます。
prefixは/usr/local/apache です。
conf は /usr/local/apache/conf
/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd を追加しています。

阿部さんからのご提案へのテストで使わせていただきました。

この件、 php での iclude GD でこけてるので、php内部のerrorではなくて
include GD をビルドするときという事なので、そのシステムに原因があるのか
なと思うのですが、それがどれなのかを理解していないので試行錯誤しています。

phpのconfigure時のlogは以下の通り
