既に本題は解決したみたいですが、もうちょっとだけ。

それが、、、やはり11bは11bと言うことで、大した違いはないです。前のメイ
ルでも書きましたが、私のとこの環境だと、ftpとかで転送速度を測ると

1.Prism3(WLI-PCM-S11G)
2.Admtek 8211(WLCB-11)
3.wavelan(WLI-PCM-L11G)
4.Prism2(PCCB-11)

の結果になります。速度としては、1.2.3.は大した違いはないのに、4.だけは
圧倒的に遅いです。理由は後述します。

ですよねぇ。。。今11bに投資するのは気が引けるのですが、いきがかり上、
どうしてもcardbusなカードの性能も動作も確認してみたかったもので。。。
規格が承認されてもっと選択の幅が広がって、しかもLinux上で動作するとな
るまではまだちょっとかかりそうなので、まぁ繋げると言う意味では十分なの
ですが。

いや、上の説明なのですが、orinocoの文書を読むと、こんなFAQが出ます。

This is a persistent problem we've had dealing with Intersil firmware,
that we're having a lot of trouble pinning down and squashing.

The error means that we're timing out while waiting for the firmware
to respond to a request to write packet data into the card.  It's not
entirely clear why the firmware sometimes responds so slowly, in fact
there now seems to be some evidence that there are multiple causes for
this problem.  (BAP stands for "Buffer Access Path" the mechanism for
getting data in and out of the card's memory).

At least one of the causes for this problem has been squashed in 0.13
and later versions (the card's two, supposedly independent, BAPs
aren't quite).  However there may be other more obscure cases in which
it occurs.

I'm very interested in reports of this behaviour on current versions,
to try and find some patterns to the behaviour.  In particular I'm
interested to hear whether the problem occurs (in 0.13 or later) with
WEP disabled.

There is a report that setting a low RTS threshold (say 250 bytes)
works around this problem (though it's certainly not an optimal
solution).

で、結局転送速度は他のカードの半分程度しか出ないんですぅ。。。

orinocoは、
orinoco.c 0.13e (David Gibson <hermes@gibson.dropbear.id.au> and others)
orinoco_cs.c 0.13e (David Gibson <hermes@gibson.dropbear.id.au> and others)
と言う、今得られる、最新のものを使っています。0.13よりも前だと、やはり
同様の症状で、Prism3のS11Gが駄目だったんです。。。(;_;)
